Goodwood Motor Circuit is an extraordinary place. The only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form, it was sympathetically restored over a six year period to 1998 in preparation for the inaugural Goodwood Revival that year. Thanks to that investment, it is a unique and exceptional venue for track hire.

Nestling at the foot of the South Downs, the sea often visible just a few miles distant, the picturesque venue was the scene of legendary battles between great heroes from 1948 through to 1966. Brabham, McLaren, Surtees, Moss, Gurney, Fangio, Gonzalez, Salvadori, Hawthorn, Farina, Bira, Collins, Parnell, Graham Hill, Phil Hill, Clark, Ireland, de Fraffenried, Taruffi, Fairman, Hamilton, Brooks, Shelby, Bonnier, Gendebien, Von Trips, Trintignant, Parkes, Gregory, Sears, Amon, Hall, Penske, Stewart, Courage, Rindt… the list goes on and on. And they drove everything here from diminutive 500cc Coopers to the then greatest jewels of sports car and Grand Prix racing.

Today you too can drive the same track as the heroes of yesteryear, in your own car, a loaned modern or classic sports car, or a single-seater - with or without professional instruction. As part of a unique variety of attractions on the Goodwood Estate the circuit can be hired privately – for you and your guests 'Work & Play' and ‘Ultimate Experiences’ – or you can participate in one of Goodwood’s Track Days or General Testing days.

MOTOR CIRCUIT – Exclusive Hire & Noise Restrictions

A limited number of days are available each year, six days a week Monday to Saturday, and are divided into two categories: ‘Goodwood Days’ which facilitate for up to 5 cars at a time on the circuit, and ‘Road Traffic Days’ which allow up to 10 cars out at once. Both days are subject to strict noise restrictions and are only available by booking in advance.

‘Goodwood Days’ (up to 5 cars on the circuit at any one time):
105dbs at three-quarters maximum revs and 101dbs at 10m drive-by from track-side.

‘Road Traffic Days’ (up to 10 cars on the circuit at any one time):
98dbs at three-quarters maximum revs and 96dbs at 10m drive-by from track-side.

Those planning on booking the motor circuit must ensure their vehicle complies with the noise restrictions. The Circuit Officials reserve the right to exclude any car which they feel might breach the above limits.

NOTE: During October and November preferential rates apply for a limited number of days. December, January, and February bookings are also less expensive than days available March through October.
