Festival Of Speed 2008 DVD
Ref: 2350
Revel in the action from this mid-summer motor sport spectacular, which features a huge number of celebrated drivers and riders. Six contemporary Formula 1 teams, including McLaren-Mercedes, Ferrari and BMW Sauber, tackle the Goodwood hillclimb with shrieking engines and smoking tyres. Formula One star Lewis Hamilton is toasted by his many fans as he appears on the balcony of Goodwood House to the interviewed by popular presenter Chris Evans, before entertaining the crowds behind the wheel of a Vodaphone McLaren Mercedes F1 car. Fellow British F1 star Jenson Button also entertains Festival goers with a remarkably lurid wheel spin off the start line.

Joining them is a plethora of motor sport legends and heroes driving some of the worlds most exotic and exciting machinery on four and two wheels. In the latter category the amazing exploits of 12-time international trials rider champion Dougie Lampkin have to be seen to be believed as he jumps over everything from priceless racing cars to the Festival's founder Lord March throughout the event. He also rides up on the roof of Goodwood House to get a closer look at the huge Land Rover central feature display, with is regularly scaled by a group of expert free-style climbers.

In addition to Lampkin's amazing tricks, a veritable who's who of the world's best motorcyclists put their machines to the test - including Carl Fogarty, Troy Corser, Michael Rutter, Michael Doohan, Jim Redman and John McGuinness. Meanwhile, away from the tarmac, rallying heroes Petter Solberg, Mikko Hirvonen, Stig Blomqvist and Juha Kankkunen provide plenty of inspired sideways action on the enhanced Forest Rally Stage.

Featuring the sights and sounds of almost every conceivable racing machine, this DVD is essential viewing for anyone who enjoys an intoxicating blend of speed and drama.
